It seldom happens that I struggle so hard to find my first big bang lines to introduce the topic. Words are failing me, dementia is creeping in and I even can’t pick up a single line from those numerous books sitting all laid out on my shelf. Fuhgeddaboudit , Pal ! How many times I actually write about some one who needs a single metaphor describing him as born rebel, crack pot bigot, a destiny’s child, living legend or a man in hurry with his own quixotic agenda, which keeps changing every moment. At best , i am worst kind of paparazzi ... Any way that story some other time...
Believe me, this man is hell of surprise package and it all started since the day he was born. Let us hurry up and go back twenty five (or thirty??) years back to history in that none descript village in Eastern part of India, reliving the history in making. That was mother of all nights. As legend goes, no one had witnessed such a rain in that village in living memory, heavens had all opened up, the thunderstorms were crackling that dark night with their thunderous uproar and dogs in that village were crying all the night. At the crack of mid night, when night was dissolving into dawn , he came to the earth. The old octagenrarian mid wife who delivered the baby that night is still alive and recounts those moments with brimming incredulity ," The monster never cried for a split second. He was all smiling and throwing his little limbs all over the place. I was afraid if he would start running from the next moment." Next moment, neither was rain there nor were thunderstorms, it was complete lull. Even all the dogs had gushed to no where in that flood as if God has paid price of hundred dogs to Satan as an exchange for this little prick. Priest of the Village Hanuman temple came rushing to the house of liitle baby and proclaimed to the family, " This child is son of soil and does not belong to this family.Deity has come to his dreams and told him that child is ordained by the God to lead his own life in pursuit of divine purpose. From today on , this boy will known as Indrajit as he has won over the Rain God." Entire village was in their knees singing the glory of lord.
By that time, little Indrajit had already gone into his slumber. The hulk had born now and was taking liitle nap before he wakes up to take this bad world by its horns.

Dear Mishra jee
It is always heartening to see our name being quoted by any important personality. I am honored to find a place in your coveted blog.
The best part of your writings is its rhythm...... when I was going through this article I didn't find any reason to disbelieve the story. This is the beauty of articulate writing......u will be in illusion that every thing is happening in front of you.
anyway..... I am happy that u at last started writing......a fan of urs like me will always welcome any initiative from ur side but one request plz don't discontinue this and keep texting.....all the best.
Regards,
Indrajit
There could'nt not have been a better way of describing the birth of the legend.
sach kahete hain wo ki LENE ke andaj badal gaye,
lete waqt koi opposition ho wo lamhe nikal gaye,
Ab to le kar chor dete hain log bhari mahfil me ( internet yaar),
Kabhi wo liya karte the chai ki chuskiyon san, unko aaj chali khabar ki wo 'kal' gaye.
Mishra,
Depiction of the arrival of a "could-have-been-a-cop turned banker" could not have been better. Examples or circumstances galore wherein the "Raingod" in flesh and blood, aka Indrajeet have lulled the raging storms with his wit and mere presence. Such is the "mahima" of Hostel secretay named "Indrajeet Verma". Truly potrayed.
vermaji ka happy bday dekh ke to bhagwan krishna ke janm ki yaad aa gayi...itna dramatic to unka janm bhi nahi tha..chalo accha hai..par aapki lekhni ki pariksha to tab hogi jab krishna bhagwan ki raslilaon ka saamna vermaji ke chaddi pehen ke phool khila bhajan aur unki underwear heroics se hoga...godd luck mishra ji
Very interesting !!! ... left me with "what happens next" ... will wait for your next blog ...
